In Between Geeky and Artistic
Site Updates :
I’ve added a new section – Linkware Layouts, for when the muse visits. To celebrate this memorable event, I have a new layout for you to admire. Well technically it happened the other way round: the section for the new layout… or something along those lines.
I believe I like this layout a little too much: I keep thinking how I could use it for this site. I must resist temptation: really Kimmie, I CAN do it!
That’s what drooling over Screenalicious’ gallery does to me :buckteeth:
The link name says ‘goodies’ because I intend to offer something beside layouts… something like scripts or maybe software application snippets. The latter has a much greater probability, but then again nothing is absolute… well, almost nothing. Keeping in mind that my lazyness is in a highly advanced stage, don’t hold your breath, though… then again, sometimes miracles do happen.
Geeky-ness Gallore :
Today, while preparing to take a shower (no picture of the shower, for you
), I suddenly realize that I left behind my hair-drying towel. Since I keep making mental notes whenever I forget something 1, I go on thinking:
I really need to remember to take that yellow file2…
File… File… WHAT file?! … TOWEL not file!
I knew it: I study too much… or I just spend too much time glued to the PC; one of the two in any case.
Google Search :
Dear Visitor,
Instead of searching for earrings for pain, take out the ones you’re wearing now and apply hydrogen peroxide or alcohol3 to the wound in your ears. No matter how nice the earrings, your body is more important.
No, I (Vera) am not a good example to follow.

1 You’d be surprised how much this helps blogging.
2 I’m referring to a computer file, here.
3 Available at your local drugstore, and quite cheap.
Note: you DO know that drugstores (or pharmacies) sell medicines, not extasy or heroin. Right? Just checking that the pain is still bearable.

Congratulations on your new section! I can’t wait to see your layouts everywhere I go on the net – I think they are really great and original.
I have a hair drying towel too – and I also forget it all the time so the floor is soaked…

Can you!? Can you resist the temptation!?!?! Cause if it was me, I couldn’t.
I seriously need a new layout…

Ohwell, seems like you’ve been brainwashed now too, so we can be incredible geeks together. You’ll be the EU geek, I’ll be the outside-EU geek and we can make geek parties WITH hair-drying “files” as an obligatory accessory for the visitors

Love the linkware layouts section and I have to say that the purple flower layout is very pretty.

@Nan: That’s so nice of you to say
I sure hope so.
@Kimmie: I have to. Finals coming up in a week.
@Iva: and no one will think we’re … odd at the very least? Then again, people always look at me with apprehension.
@Lissi: I’m glad you like it.

The layouts are really interesting. I’m impressed that they are practically all done with CSS. Good work!

Excellent work Vera!
Your layouts are very good (especially the “Berries” one) and also the new dress of this site looks very elegant! (much better than the previous one!)

Earrings for pain, hahaha. Ooh, I like my own smilies here, by the way. And I’ve never heard of Screenalicious before; pretty cool site.
Yay for free layouts.
Just be careful of stealers who don’t link back.

@pannas: coming from a talented web designer like yourself, that is really nice. Thank you.
@Aneesah: I’m glad I can use them to your liking. I used to provide linkware layouts before, and was worried a lot about stealing… yet no one really seemed to use the layouts. Therefore, right now I want to see people using them first :hehe:

Hahaha, I am addicted to the computer at times, to an extent that sometimes I almost go “CTRL-Z”, thinking I can undo whatever mistakes I make in real life.
Meanwhile, please take good care of those ears!

Who wouldn’t want a CTRL+Z in their life?
Everything would be so much easier. We’ll just undo whatever idiotic things we might have done. Too bad everything’s set in stone after we’ve done it.
