Not THAT Stupid!
[edit:20-03-07] I’m fiddling with the theme, which may cause inconveniences. Either be patient with me, or murder Internet Explorer, whichever is more convenient
[/edit]
… and I have this brand new layout. And for some reason I have no idea what to say about it… well aside the fact that it took me 2 months to finish it
Feel free to admire slash criticize it, and don’t forget to send in your suggestions. In the meantime I shall go back to agonizing over my licentiate project, as well as other semestrial projects. I HATE senior year!
On a more ‘interesting’ note, the following conversation took place when I attempted to purchase a 5 Euro mobile phone card.
Me: Do you happen to have 5 Euro Orange mobile phone cards?
Vending Lady: Of course, they’re 16.5 RON a piece.Having previously been told by my dad, that such cards are around 21 RON, I find this rather odd.
Me: Are you sure they are 5 Euro cards?
Vending Lady: Of course, of course.
So I pay, without checking, but then out of curiosity DO take out the card. And – surprise – it says 4 Euro (plus 0.4 eurocents bonus). Exasperated
I take the card back and demand an explanation.
Me: Excuse me, but this is a 4 Euro card. I asked for a 5 Euro card.
Vending Lady: It IS. Just look at the bonus.
Now, I admit that my Maths’ skills are rather slipshod, but still: since when does 4.4 Euro = 5 Euro?!

As I’m sure you know, I absolutely love the colors of this layout. I especially love the little pen in the bottom right. I think that might be my favorite part of this layout.

I like it! Like Kimmie, I like the pen at the bottom of the layout. I think it really adds a little something.
On another note though, this comment textbox stretches off the screen when I’m using IE6. And thus, I can’t see half of what I’m typing and can only hope that there aren’t any major typos.

Well I didn’t KNOW it before (hoped sure
), but now I do and I’m glad. Hopefully you’re not the only one. Now if I could just fix the ‘shifting link’ problem in IE it would be great.
Glad you like the marker on the bottom

Since people started using computers and calculators do do arithmetic like that, instead of their heads!

That’s it I’m officially killing IE6 :fist:
On another note, I’m glad you like it Amanda.
@Tracy – I might have been inclined to think that, but she had a news stand on the street, with not computer (maybe just a pocket calculator), and she was reading the instruction on the card.
Then again… she did look around 40 – maybe that means she forgot elementary arithmetic.

This layout really does fit springtime. I look at it – then out the window and colours are the same
Not everyone sees the good within other people – most sees and considers how to prey on them and the rest hopes for lack of skill.

That’s a very nice image. I think of a cucumber when I look at it
(it’s the main navigation’s color). Thanks.

The new layout looks fresh! I really like it. I love the mint green with the blue. I agree with Nan – the colours make me think of springtime too. =)

Pretty
I like your blockquotes! The top image looks like the flash was a bit harsh though. But I like the title of this new layout and how clean everything looks. No clutter in sight.

It’s not the flash, it’s Photoshop. My pictures always turn out very dark, so I need to lighten them quite a bit. It looks fine on my screen, but I DO have a serious problem with darker images.
Anyway, thanks Susie and Kat

I murdered IE, but it rose from the dead. Better luck next time!

Yeah… :cheek: it tends to do that, unfortunately.
Anyway, things are slightly better this time; it’s only the text box that gains size when people start typing in it (in IE).
