I Resemble WHO?!

My new haircut As some of you know, I got a new hair cut. Aside the obvious “you look very different”1 type of comments, everyone kept telling me I looked like some celebrity. The more they told me that, the more I found it was true. Until…

Dad came home and gave me his .02c: You look like Monica Lewinksy  Apparently, now I only need to find myself a president… and for those curious I don’t like our current one (he’s balding and too old) Though I admit, that at the time he was president, I used to think Bill Clinton didn’t look half bad (I was around 11  )

My displeasure at being compared with miss Lewinsky was met with “puzzlement” by my family. After all she is famous. I don’t know about you, but I’d rather not be known as someone who had an affair with a married man… whoever said man might be. :fist:

Wow, your new hair really suits you. It makes you look younger, yet also more grown up. I like it. :boogie:

That reminds me. I need a haircut. I look like a tramp.

Hehe - I like your dad already :D

You look good with it, I didn’t know you got it cut. Looks better than before.

    Thanks.
Why do you like my dad? Or is being a (famous) promiscuous woman all the rage these days? :suspicious:

Is there a handsome, nice and unattached one available?

I love your new hair as well. I don’t think you look like Monica Lewinsky and I don’t feel like thinking about her or blowjobs while reading your posts so… No. You are a pretty gal!

^ If Obama became president, I’d totally do a Lewinsky. :P

i think your new haircut is better than the old one. it really looks nice on you… like monica lewinsky. hahaha kidding! but really, i don’t know who would like to be likened to a woman with such reputation lol :shut:

    @Amanda: er… who’s that? :shut:

Eh… There’s only a tiny Monica resemblance. The fact that you both have dark, straightish hair that kind curls in being the only thing. However, her hair is more like… HUGE, and not in a good way. While your hair is chic and cute.

Well, the new haircut brings the need for a new skirt :P
Putting the obvious joke aside I think you should find a better celebrity so that when you’ll be told you look like Monica you could easily say you tried to look like,I don’t know,Paris Hilton or whomever has the same kind of haircut.
I have this small fetish for long hair so hearing about a haircut is like finding out there is no Santa Clause.
I really don’t like to kiss-ass so I’m just going to say that new style makes you look happier, more sociable and above all….neah,I’m not going to tell :P

 I’m not too fond of Paris either.
As a rule I like long hair too, but it’s extremely difficult to manage and since mine is naturally curly it almost NEVER stays the way I want it to. So a couple of times I really need it cut.

    You > Monica.

    End of.

  14. Jane on Tue, June 26, 2007 at 4:56 pm

There are many more people much worse to be compared to, one group being men and another being ditsy celebs like Paris Hilton.

  15. Vera on Tue, June 26, 2007 at 5:27 pm

    *hugs Amber*

Jane: when I was a kid (till 14) I always used to have really short hair, with a boyish cut. As such I’ve heard people refer to me as “the nice boy” or just plain “boy”. I believe that’s preferable than a… I’m not sure I can find a polite euphemism for that.

You’re quite right. That’s not how you’d want to be known.. You’re hair looks nice though :)

  20. Aneesah on Fri, June 29, 2007 at 10:21 am

Monica Lewinski?  Haha, I dunno, but the haircut does look good on you. The highlights, too.

    And Bill Clinton doesn’t look half-bad. :P

  21. Vera on Fri, June 29, 2007 at 4:36 pm

Unfortunately, Aneesah, he IS a bit too old for me. :hmm:

Your new haircut really suits you and that photo doesn’t remind me of Monica at all.
This is my first visit here by the way and I bookmarked the site. :cute:

  23. Kat on Mon, July 2, 2007 at 10:33 pm

LOL! Well I wouldn’t mind being compared to woman who had an affair if the man was Wentworth Miller. So he’s not married yet but if it’s the only way… The new do does look great though, it looks very… Mature somehow

  24. Sami on Tue, July 3, 2007 at 8:26 pm

    Your hair looks sophisticated.

  25. Sami on Tue, July 3, 2007 at 8:27 pm

And, hey, Monica had a relationship with Clinton who was president during a time when the American economy was growing and growing so she might have been doing something beneficial.

  26. Tracy on Fri, July 6, 2007 at 5:24 am

“Or is being a (famous) promiscuous woman all the rage these days?” oh my - not at all!! I thought your dad might have said it in humor - and I like people with humor ;) But I guess he meant it serious? I don’t think you look like Monica though.

  27. Vera on Fri, July 6, 2007 at 6:43 am

I couldn’t detect any kind of humor in there.
Thankfully, I have since washed my hair and everyone agrees that I now don’t look anything like that picture :) (might post a more “recent” picture later)
