More and more people seem to have started entering the Christmas-y mood around me. Which is really great… only it tends to put certain things so much into perspective.
You see, a chronic procrastinator like me prefers to know that stuff is far far ahead in the future, rather than be constantly occasionally reminded that there’s something I have to do.
Despite all that, I felt a sudden air of nostalgia when one of my coworkers airily mentioned
We should get a radio and listen to Christmas carols.
Obviously, having the constant need to act mature1, I managed to sport one heck of a grimace upon hearing this, which of course prompted the question:
Don’t you like Christmas?
I love it folks! And I get so bloody nostalgic and jittery around that time of the year, but STOP TAUNTING ME! Unless, by some miracle, Christmas has been moved to the next week2, stop acting all so excited. It’s positively perverse… and mean!

… of my personal1 work supplied computer chair, to be more precise.
For some odd reason, my office chairs keep getting switched about. The current one seems rather attached as of late, though. Of course, once you try sitting on it, you can instantly tell why. It is an extremely ambitious chair. I’d wager to say, it’s practicing some sort of subtle social climbing. You might think you’re sitting on it, but soon enough your position is corrected. In other words, you tend to find yourself on the brink of falling off of it.
Every time I so much as I leave it, the chair will get 2cm taller. I wonder if the constant yoyo-ing I have to practice on an hourly basis is an intended benefit. You know… sedentary work, with lack of exercise and such.
Do you have weird office ‘tools’ which have suddenly seemed to get a mind of their own?

1 well company property, and it belonged to another coworker but it somehow got switched… yeah, I’m confused as well.
… or maybe next century. *_*
Because stuff happens to be much harder to do when you don’t have Photoshop’s inbuilt custom shapes and transformation options I get to procrastinate more… AND confuse myself even more. So far, I’ve managed to start watching 10 new anime series, out of which I only managed to drop one.1…
So till I manage to get more proficient with Pain.NET, here’s a question for you.
What do I - as a webmistress - remind you of?
Yeah, that’s the problem, my layouts are not “representative” enough… yeah.
Oh right, if you have any suggestions on how to motivate myself more efficiently, feel free to share.
