Born for Business
I’m not sure about elsewhere, but here gypsies are generally rather… business oriented. They’ll stop you on the street trying to sell you whatever. It’s not a problem if you don’t need what they offer, the cunning businessman/woman1 is ready to rephrase his/her offer so it matches your needs. If you’re not taken in by their schemes, it’s really quite amusing to listen.
Some people, try a bit too hard though; or maybe it’s just me, lacking the necessary empathy. There was a young girl trying to sell cell phones, waving them in passerby’s faces. Getting tired of being ignored, she makes one last desperate attempt:
SENSATIONAL LAST MINUTE DEAL, BECAUSE I’M LEAVING TO MEET MY LOVER!!

We don’t have ANY gypsies here.
Vera: most of the time no, but they can be very insistent… so some do end up buying from them. Oh yes, they get arrested pretty often

Funny thing this post. I guess you easily recognise desperate attempts. And talking about seeing things, her marketing technique wasn’t THAT bad, you are just bitter she said something you’d like to say too. You really are a bitter ol’ maid geek aren’t you? Guess that criticism of yours isn’t enough to warm you up and even pretentious chicks need a good fuck. Or maybe especially them.

Oh gosh! I can not stand when people do that! You don’t find them on the streets here too often, but there are those who work at kiosks at the mall.
Jeff and I had taken the kids shopping for summer clothes a few months back and had that happen to us. Some woman was selling Dead Sea Salts products. She had us there nearly 45 minutes, taking the price from a firm $180 down to $60…each time she lowered the price, she of course could not go any lower. :rolleye: When we told her we had to shop for the kids before we made a purchase, she told us the price would then be full for the product. Hours later when we forgot, and strolled passed the kiosk, she remembered us, and tried to get us to buy it for an even lower price.
I’m all for people trying to make a living, but no means no, and I wish they would take the hint! lol..
But that is just way too much information for someone to be shouting, in order to get attention :cheek:

You’d wish. To think a chick would be desperate enough to resort to online coy teasing. Is this entire part of your site a cry for attention from Mr. Right? Then again, I guess no Mr Right for you. Beggars can’t be choosers.

Haha, we don’t have gypsies here. Or rather, I think they’re called panhandlers here.
Vera: oh no, that’s not what I meant. Gypsies are officially called “Roma people”. Most panhandlers here are Gypsies, but the two terms are not synonyms.

Could you kindly email the person that whatever she stoled an email instead of posting it all over her site at trymegraphics, i think its a lil rude for you to just comment her it and stuff. How would you like it. The reason why she delete them post is because she doesnt want any trouble. i told her to delete it. So if you want to say something you can come and talk to me. if not i dont think you would like it if she came and said something to you. Wouldnt you want her to email you frist? We don’t have gypsies where I live, but when I went to Chicago there were men selling expensive purses in the street. I’m thinking those were stolen too :suspicious: Also, the darn mall kiosks selling make-up who all but grab you and force you to try it

I love gypsies. They make me laugh. ^^
Vera: I was very tolerant of them… until one of them abused my father’s generosity and stole from us. Since then I make a point to give them a wide berth.
