The Gift-Shopping Reviewer

It never really occurred to me how much web site reviewing ingrained itself into my daily life. Due to some time constraints1 , I rarely do any formal reviews these days. Nevertheless, from time to time I find myself spouting weird suggestions/requests, which leave people slightly confused… to put it mildly. ^^;

Lovely jewellery from Millefiori

Sales girl: What about these? They’re the same model as the one’s on the top shelf.
Me (enthusiastically): Oh they’re lovely… but I rather like the color contrast of the ones from the shelf, but not colors themselves… would you have that is yellow or brown?
Sales girl: Oh er…

To her credit, she didn’t seem to visibly insult me2. Score for customer service, I guess XD

  • Ngehe. Colour contrasts! I remember thinking in my head (luckily not out loud and not to a human being), that I had to “delete” some RL object I suddenly recalled. Delete meaning throw away, that is. >_> We is just awkward, messed up people sometimes….

  • Lol.

    Color contrast probably makes a huge difference when you’re trying to sell something. The better the color contrast, the item looks.

  • Lulz, that must be an awkward situation for the salesgirl. Good thing she’s professional enough to keep her opinions about it to herself (if there was any).

    I initially thought that CV and resume were the same thing. Apparently one is longer and more detailed than the other. XD

  • Oh, but you’re just a customer who KNOWS what she wants. Can’t argue with that :)

    Vera: Oh absolutely. ;)
    I DO generally have a fair idea of what I don’t want. It’s usually something like “no, not that… or that… and not that either… oh and DEFINITELY NOT that”
    XD
