Review from Loveless Beauty
While the review itself is somewhere between mediocre and average quality-wise, I really didn't expect more, therefore I shouldn't complain. Nevertheless, her spelling is atrocious and the fact that she only sped through the main sections raises some alarms: maybe my site is truly boring...
First Impressions 8/10
I first thought that this site was simple, but when I noticed the little subtle things (such as the jewelry box at the corner which had the refelection) you had incorperated into your layout I thought that even thought your site was simple its had a little bit of charm to it aswell. I didn't really like the subtitle because it had a more pixelated effect and it was black; not really matching with the other colours of your site.
I'll try to change that.

Layout and Colour Scheme 26/30
The layout was simple, but again it has those small details that makes the layout not boring. I found it interesting that at first the layout seemed as if it really wasn't a layout at all; only writing on a fading yellow background, but as I explored your site and I saw the refelction of the jewelry box or the bottom right corner that stands out or even the arrow that points on the navigation on which page you are on ( I think it's cute) I realized the detail you had put in. The jewerly box goes perfectly well with what your site's vibe; useful infromation that is collected together and interesting reads. Although I must admit, I still think your layout is a bit too simple.
I've seen much simpler layouts, that I liked much better. I decided to put more emphasis on the loading time, rather than a gigantic image.
Your colour scheme is almost perfect. The yellow that you chose does not make me blind or makes my eyes tired after some minutes, in other words; it's easy on the eyes. The mellow colours of yellow matched perfectly well with the gold and oranges of writing and links. Even the black writing matched together well, though not as well as a shade of brown might have. The black was a bit too intense for your soft coloured layout and the subtitle.
Now that you mention it, I, too, believe that a shade of brown would have been a better choice.
Content 20/20
Even thought your site has so many different things on it; all of the information kind of clicked. Everything is organized very well and none of it is just randomly misplaced. Everytime I read a tutorial or article, is seemed like I was reading a scrapbook/diary/guide all combined together. Practically all of the content on your site is useful, and the content that wasn't really useful (in the way that it wasn't a tutorial) was very interesting to read.
Funny that you say that, since you've only flicked through the main sections; my stats 'see' everything.

That's interesting, since my 'Aesthetically Challenged' page was sidescrolling in every resolution above 800x600px. I've fixed it now, but that's a rather serious thing to overlook.

I absolutly love your content. Your site may probably only appeal to people who either enjoy reading, or need help with thier site; but those visitors that do visit your site will continue to come because it is such and interesting read! Your layout is so different from what I have seen before, and even if it is simple it is still so much more original than any other layout out there (again the only thing that bothers me is the black). Anyone who visit here will clearly see the effort you have put into making your site a pleasurable experince to those who visit.
